Community Partnerships

alliantgroup proudly partners with organizations such as Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Comp-U-Dopt, Kids’ Meals and Atlas Scholars to make a difference in the community. Through these partnerships, we are dedicated to creating a positive change by providing support that ranges from STEM education initiatives to meal delivery for children in need.

GHWCC

Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce

GHWCC is a nonprofit organization of highly influential and diverse women and men dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women through avenues of leadership, education, advocacy and mentoring.

Steam Town USA

The STEAM Town USA program is an after‐school program that seeks to increase exposure of third grade girls to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) and encourages girls to pursue STEAM careers. Since 2019, alliantgroup has been partnering with Woodson Elementary in Houston ISD to participate in this fun and empowering program.

STEAM Advocate Award winner

In 2020, 2021 and 2023, alliantgroup was awarded the GHWCC STEAM Advocate Award for our hard work and dedication to this program with Woodson Elementary School.

Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM Style Show

Since 2020, alliantgroup has been a sponsor of the GHWCC’s annual, Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM Style Show & Luncheon. This event celebrates Houston’s leading executives and entrepreneurs in STEAM Careers and the event benefits multiple programs of the GHWCC.

A couple of our Senior Directors, including Bridgette Brashear and Caroline Lake have been honored as Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM Role Models, where they had the chance to walk the runway alongside other inspiring role models including our friend Caroline Brown, Meteorologist from KPRC 2.

Casey Curry – Board Member

alliantgroup’s Strategic Communications & Philanthropy Senior Director, Casey Curry has been serving on the Greater Houston Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) Board since 2021. Casey is also a member of the GHWCC Education Committee which supports initiatives such as the “Love What You Do” mentorship program and STEAM Town USA.

Comp-U-Dopt

Comp-U-Dopt is a non-profit organization that distributes refurbished computers that were donated by corporations to families in need. Comp-U-Dopt also provides technology-based after school programming.

Steven Hunter – Board Member

In April 2022, Comp-U-Dopt announced that our President & Chief Technology and Digital Officer, Steven Hunter joined their Houston Regional Advisory Board.

Computer Adoption Program

Through this program, lightly used donated corporate computers are converted to a Linux operating system, loaded with freeware education programs and given to deserving applicants in the 3rd through 8th grade.

alliantgroup has donated hundreds of company-retired laptops, monitors & docking stations to students in need in the Houston area.

Over the years, alliantgroup has donated hundreds of company-retired laptops, monitors & docking stations to students in need in the Houston area. Our professionals have volunteered with Compudopt through computer distribution events, sorting through computer cords and pieces at their warehouse, and assembling STEM kits for their after school programing.

Atlas Scholars

Atlas Scholars is a revolutionary development program providing high school students with mentorship, scholarships, and exposure to performance-based, professional environments.

Since 2022, alliantgroup has been hosting a Career Day at our corporate headquarters for students from their Career Explorations Program. During their visit, they had an office tour where they visited various departments, followed by lunch and panel discussion where alliantgroup professionals with backgrounds in finance, communications, law, human resources, and cybersecurity shared their career journey.

Lemonade Day

The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow.

Through our partnership with Lemonade Day, our GHWCC STEAM Town girls from Woodson Elementary had a chance to come to our office to set up lemonade stands to sell lemonade and snacks to our professionals, so they could practice their entrepreneurial skills!

Kids' Meals

Kids’ Meals’ mission is to end childhood hunger by delivering free healthy meals to the doorsteps of Greater Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children and through collaboration provide their families with resources to help end the cycle of poverty.

Since 2019, alliantgroup has been supporting Kids’ Meals in a variety of different ways! From decorating lunch bags and creating non-perishable lunch sacks for hungry children during onboarding with our new hires, to coming to their facility to make sandwiches and snack mixes during department volunteer events to ensure they have enough meals to deliver every day.

Year of Joy

The Year of Joy is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that exposes children from Houston’s underserved communities to cultural, educational and empowering experiences. Since December 2016, The Year of Joy Ice Skating event has impacted over 1,000 Houston area children, ages 5 through 16 so they can have a fun holiday experience.

Since 2019, alliantgroup has been supporting Year of Joy with ice skating volunteers and by being the “STEM Goodie Bag” sponsor for their annual Year of Joy Ice Skating event.

Houston PREP: Engineering Career Day at UHD

Houston PREP is a summer enrichment program for middle and high school students hosted by the College of Sciences and Technology at the University of Houston-Downtown that focuses on activities that help produce a pipeline of better-qualified students entering college in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to help ensure that the United States maintains its leadership in research and development in science and technology.

Since 2019, we’ve had several of our engineers from our R&D and 179D practice be part of their Engineering Career Day where they share their engineering career journey with students form the program.

Nebraska FFA Convention Agriscience Fair – Lincoln, NE

In 2020 and 2021, alliantgroup LP Co-Sponsored the Nebraska FFA Convention Agriscience Fair (broadcasted virtually this year).

  • The Nebraska FFA Agriscience Fair recognizes students who gain real-world, hands-on experiences in agricultural enterprises. Students use scientific principles and emerging technologies to solve complex problems related to agriculture, food, and natural resources.

Accounting for Kids (AFK) - Cincinnati, OH

alliantgroup’s Strategic Advisory Board member, Crystal Faulkner is the founder of Accounting for Kids, a non-profit organization that helps students garner the skills necessary to make smart financial decisions, while also engaging local professionals to become tutors and mentors through the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative.

  • For the past 20 years, Accounting for Kids has delivered their financial literacy program in the Greater Cincinnati area to nearly 45,000 students in more than 1,600 classrooms with the help of more than 10,000 volunteers.
  • In November 2019, alliantgroup was a sponsor of the Accounting for Kids program. During the event, we had some alliantgroup professionals serve as volunteers during their mentoring accounting program at Winton Hills Academy, an underserved school in Cincinnati.

Illumination Foundation - Los Angeles, CA

Illumination Foundation’s mission is to provide targeted, interdisciplinary services for the most vulnerable homeless clients in order to disrupt the cycle of homelessness in Southern California.

  • In March 2020, alliantgroup was a sponsor of the Illumination Foundation’s annual fundraiser, OC Chef’s Table. At that event, alliantgroup also awarded a $5,000 college scholarship for a formerly homeless student who plans to become a teacher and give back to the community.
